REDISCOVERING CREATIVITY AS AN ADULT
The Vanishing Artist: Why Growing Up Made You Forget to Draw (And How to Wake That Creative Side Again)
Once upon a time, there was an artist—full of imagination, colour, and chaos. But then... They grew up.
Poof! Interest gone. Motivation? Missing. Sketchbook? Gathering dust under a mountain of college notes and grown-up responsibilities.
Are You One of Us?
If yes, take a second and ask yourself: why did it stop?
The answer is surprisingly simple. We grew up. We got busy. We stopped being part of the world of sketching, doodling, and dreaming.
Do you remember how you used to draw that “classic” sun between two mountains with a river flowing through the valley? Be honest—you kind of miss that, don’t you?
I’m a Visual Echo Artist (And Maybe You Are Too)
Some people can draw anything they see—they’re like human scanners. But when it comes to pure imagination? That’s where the pencil freezes.
That’s me. A Visual Echo Artist.
I can recreate what I see—anime characters, cool designs, screenshots from life—but ask me to come up with something original, and it’s like my imagination forgot to clock in.
Life. That’s what.
We got tangled in semester exams, swamped in college projects, and glued to future goals. And somewhere in that chaos, our sketchbooks got replaced by planners.
Creativity? Missing.
Energy? Don't ask.
Me? I’m so lazy, my morning starts at 12 PM. Breakfast is basically lunch.
If you’re a morning person who’s up at 7 AM—respect.
Me? My brain enters “art mode” sometime after sunset. Maybe.
Yes, I Still Got Talent (Sort Of...)
Even now, I can still draw. But only if I’m looking at something. My imagination?
It’s on vacation... without telling me.
There are people out there who can both replicate and imagine. Legends. If that’s you—and you've stopped drawing—why, bro? What happened?
Forget the “Faltu Ka Gyaan” and Do
Here’s the truth: if you love something, and you’re good at it, don’t let it go just because you’re busy or someone gave you random advice that didn’t even make sense.
Draw. Paint. Scribble.
But be smart too—learn, explore, grow, and understand what you’re doing. Treat your talent with care.
Not Everyone Has This Power!!
Remember back in school, in Biology class, when your diagrams were so good everyone came running to you like:
“Bhaiii, ek drawing bana de na yaar…”
That felt good, right?
That’s your creative spark. Don’t let it fade away just because you’ve grown up.
Your Inner Artist is Sleeping, Not Gone
You’re not talentless. You’re just tired.
You’re not uncreative. You’re just disconnected.
That artist inside you? Still there. Just snoozing.
Wake them up. Gently. Or with a sharp pencil.
Still got that sketchbook? Open it. Draw something—anything. Don’t judge it, just enjoy it. Post it. Share it. Bring back the joy. And if you're a fellow “Visual Echo Artist,” let's challenge ourselves to imagine again—one sketch at a time
